"Don't you ever wish you were someone else.  You were meant to be the way you are exactly.  Don't you ever say you don't like the way you are.  When you learn to love yourself, you're better off by far.  And I hope you'll always stay the same, 'cause there's nothin' 'bout you I would change."--Joey McIntyre, 'Stay The Same'

The following writing in italics is from a magazine. We are unsure which one. However, we felt something had to be said about this.

What's something you wish people would stop saying about you?

Nick: I went on the internet one day and people were talking about me being overweight. I mean, I know I do kind of fluctuate with my weight and stuff...I'm really not that overweight for my size and my height and everything, but it really does hurt my feelings a lot when people say that. It's like, yeah, I really do have a stomach, but it's not like [ that bad]...And people just kind of...I get picked on because of it.

Ok people.  Brace yourselves.  This web site is about respect right?  Therefore, do you honestly think that we could let this issue go by without our expressing our opinion...uh, NO!

STOP harping on Nick's weight.  Leave him alone.  Quit it!  GET THE POINT?

In this day and time, it seems as if the norm is for people to weigh less than they really should.  I'm sorry, but bony-looking people do not look good, they look SICK.  Nick Carter is NOT fat.  So ya'll quit saying that he is.  Ten to one, half of you people making jokes about his weight aren't happy with your own.  Worry about yourselves before you starting digging into someone else. Besides, look at the pictures on this page that were taken not too long ago for the Millennium promotions. Does he look fat?! HMMM? DOES HE?! Sorry, but I tend to get kinda pissy when people make fun of others physical appearances. Some people simply cannot help being overweight, or having thin hair, or acne, or anything else that society has decided is not 'in'.

And, hey let me tell ya'll this. Did you know that in the middle ages people who were slender were looked down upon because it was presumed that they didn't have enough money to properly nourish themselves? Back then, the 'fatter' the better. If right now was back then, you all would probably be saying that Nick is really skinny. It's called hypocrisy people. That is when you make an accusation about someone, and you are in fact guilty of that very accusation yourself.

I know that some of you may be making fun of Nick's size simply because you may not like him. Well, there are TONS of people that I personally don't like, but, am I making hate web pages about them, pointing out (and making up) flaws, broadcasting them to the whole freaking world? No. Why? Because, while I may not like those people, I do respect their feelings, and I would never want to purposely cause them any hurt.

Ok, the majority of ya'll are FANS, right?  That means that you SUPPORT the BSB, you don't degrade them.  Degrading is done by spreading rumors, downing them, etc.  If you are doing or saying anything about the BSB that you would not want someone to do to YOU, then QUIT IT.  And, before you call us hypocrites for our being a humor page, we will say this LOUD AND CLEAR:  There is not a SINGLE thing within this web site that we would have any problem saying to any one of the BSB in person.  As we have said before, these guys have insurmountable talent, both in singing and in making people laugh.  We'll bet that they probably do and say a LOT of the things we point out just to GET people to laugh.

Nick, if you are by chance reading this, I just want you to know that I think you are great just the way that you are.  I wish that I could just give you a great big hug and take away any pain that you are feeling from this. I can only imagine what it is like constantly being in the spotlight, having every move you make broadcast for the whole world to see.  Don't you DARE change a single thing about yourself for ANYONE.  The only opinions that should matter to you about yourself should be God's and your own.  You just be yourself, because that is a great person to be.  God bless you.---Amanda

Ok people are you absolutely CRAZY?!! All of you who said that Nick is fat have some serious sight problems. So maybe he has gained a few pounds. He is human, he is entitled, and nobody on this earth is perfect. I know that I need to tone a little bit and you know that you need to. I just saw Nick on the world premiere of the BSB's new video (Larger Than Life...and don't GO there!). To me, he looks better than ever. Now he doesn't look like he is 14 years old, he looks his age which is very good.

All of you who I know have stopped listening to the BSB just because Nick has gained some weight are shallow, self-centered little brats. If I sound vindictive it is because I am feeling that way. I like the BSB because they sound good, not because of what they look like, and you should too. I have liked them since '95 and I didn't know what they looked like until last summer. I think all of you need a reality check about who you are and what you look like. You need to read you Bible about talking about others. And remember what your mother always said,"If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Any of you who have been talking about Nick, need to follow this advice. I will be praying for all of you and thinking about you. :o) ---Angela
